Using the map's left-hand panels

To the left of the map, below the high-level map view, is a set of panels you can use in conjunction with the map:

The Map Legend panel.

This provides a key to the objects shown on the maps. The items listed vary depending on your login role and which layers you have chosen to be shown in the Layers panel. Click here to see an example.

The PTAL Score Legend panel.

This provides a key to the PTAL (Public Transport Accessibility Level) score, if the PTAL layer is shown. Click here to see an example.

When the PTAL layer is shown, blue indicates poor public transport access, whereas red indicates good access.

The Find Address panel.

This is shown when you first display the Map screen. Click here to see an example.

You can search for any address in your Local Land and Property Gazetteer, not just travel plan sites. Use the Find Address panel to locate an address on the map, as follows:

a)  Enter search criteria into one or more of the available fields, e.g. the Postcode.

b)  Click on Search. A list of matching addresses is displayed in the Search Results box.

c)  Click on an address in the Search Results box, and click on Show on Map. After a few moments the map area is refreshed to centre on the address you selected, zoomed in to a scale of 1 : 2,500m, and a red dot shows its location on the high-level map view.
