Each workplace should have at least one travel plan (TP), which is given a status to indicate the point it has reached in the travel plan process.
The available travel plan statuses (stages) depend on whether the travel plan is a Planning Obligation Travel Plan or a Voluntary Travel Plan. The majority of workplace travel plans are Planning Obligation travel plans.
The Planning Obligation TP statuses/stages are shown in the table below:
Status |
Definition |
Proposed |
This status would be assigned to a dummy-organisation at a site for which planning permission has been granted. This indicates that a TP is proposed to be adopted by an organisation at some point after occupancy. |
Pending |
This status would be assigned to an actual-organisation at a site for which planning permission has been granted. This will be used in the period after an organisation has taken occupancy of a site (or part of a site), and before the actual TP has been adopted. |
Adopted |
This status would be assigned to an organisation that has adopted a TP. |
Lapsed |
This status would be assigned to an organisation whose TP had lapsed. |
Unenforced |
This status would be assigned to an organisation whose TP was unenforced. |
The Voluntary TP statuses/stages are shown in the table below:
Status |
Definition |
1 - Expression of Interest |
This status indicates that an organisation is interested in developing and adopting a travel plan at this site. |
2 - Partnership Pledge Signed |
This status is assigned when the workplace has signed up to an incentive scheme. (The date the pledge was signed must be entered in iTRACE.) |
3 - Survey and Site Audit Completed |
This status is assigned when an iTRACE site audit has been completed, or if travel survey summary results have been manually entered in iTRACE. |
4 - Travel Plan Developed |
This status is assigned to a workplace when they formally adopt a travel plan. (The date of adoption must be entered into iTRACE.) |
